about

As one of the young producers shaping the sound of modern London, Timothy J Fairplay is definitely one name that is being talked about.

As a founder of new wave fatale’s Battant, then as Andrew Weatherall’s engineer and now co-member of their Asphodells project, Timothy has seen his own productions grace underground labels World Unknown and Astrolab with his deep, dub based electronics.

With a nod to hero’s John Carpenter and the likes of Goblin, he underpins his sound with the clear influence of Chicago and Detroit.

With the label rhetoric to be experimental as much as ever considering a dance floor the EP explores his love of 80s new wave with modern dub aesthetic and deliberately seeks to give a cross section of Timothy’s headspace.
